Irvington Newbie: Sambal Thai & Malaysian

With Chutney Masala, diners got a literal taste of authentic Indian cuisine and, paired with his cooking classes and specialties geared towards the more adventurous, Arora literally schooled everyone on spices, origins of dishes, and culture from the region. With his next venture, Arora is at it again, teaming up with Chef Lucky Thai to launch Sambal, an eatery dedicated to authentic Thai and (soon!) Malaysian cuisine. […]

IntoxiKating Special at Chutney Masala

A little over a week ago, I invited Chef Navjot Arora of Chutney Masala (Irvington) on Fork This with IntoxiKate to chat about Indian food and his restaurant. I've been lucky enough to have more than a few conversations with Chef Arora, and I thought it would be interesting to share some of those topics with the Westchester #FoodieNation, while dispelling some of the "myths" about Indian food. The first IntoxiKate dinner was held last evening at Chutney Masala in Irvington. Mystic Curry {Demystified} included a happy hour, passed appetizers, miniature cooking class, and a dinner, served family style. A big thank you to Chef Navjot Arora, Sunny, and the entire team at Chutney Masala for putting out an incredible spread for a memorable evening.
