Throw a Royal Event at The New York Palace

When you love food as much as I do, it’s hard to find the perfect event space to celebrate a special occasion. While we’ve got plenty of amazing spaces in our own backyard offering incredible menus (look for a post featuring Westchester event planner Susie Mordoh coming soon…), I couldn’t resist accepting an invitation to get a sneak peak at The New York Palace‘s renovations last night. The event, hosted in the enormous Towers Royal Suite (living room picture above) was an incredible event space, perfect for that lavish bridal or baby shower.

Want to throw a Royal Event at The New York Palace? The Towers Royal Suite, located on the 45th floor, sleeps up to eight guests (girls’ night out, anyone?) and is filled with eccentric French period décor fit for a king… or queen! French doors provide free-flowing movement between a double-size living room, full pantry and formal twelve-seat dining room, perfect to host an extraordinarily elegant affair. And please, don’t even get me started on those luxurious bathrooms…

The space also offers a full kitchen and on-staff chef, who catered the event for the evening. The Ahi tuna tartar topped with avocado and artichoke chips was the perfect light appetizer to start the evening off.

The chef also prepared a “mixuna” featuring watermelon and blue cheese with a port reduction.

At the end of the evening, plates of strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream were passed.

Although guest-goers only got a peak at this ornate cluster of bedrooms, bathrooms and living room areas, other suites are available (some, featuring a much more modern look like the suite below).

A special thanks to host, RoleMommy extraordinaire Beth Feldman for inviting me, Susie Mordoh for being my date for the evening, and “The New York Mom” Maria Colaco for the Westchester foodie chat!
