Norwalk Now Gears Up for Live Music Series to Kick Off the New Year

Norwalk “City Grub” to Feature Enticing Prix Fixe Menus

January 2, 2018, Norwalk, CT: Norwalk Now, the collaborative marketing group comprised of businesses throughout Norwalk’s urban core, is gearing up for their first self-produced event, Norwalk City Limits. Music enthusiasts can look forward to a 5-day long music scheduled featuring local talent performing at participating Norwalk Now restaurants, shops, and attractions. The event, designed to showcase area musicians, create local foot traffic, and relieve cabin fever, is the first in a series of innovative events that have Norwalk businesses working together to promote their town, each other, and all that Norwalk has to offer.

“Norwalk Now takes every form of exposure, including social media, print and digital platforms, direct marketing to consumers, and events, and works together as a cohesive team to further promote individual businesses, as well as the town of Norwalk as a whole, “says Norwalk Now Director Linda Kavanagh, “Norwalk City Limits is a massive 5-day schedule of live music performances which embraces all styles of music from acoustic rock, pop, jazz, fusion, country, and even children’s music.”

Joining favorite live music destinations such as Peach’s Southern Pub & Juke Joint which will feature acoustic originals by Griffin Anthony, and the recently opened Wall Street Theater that will have Tom “The Suit” Forst, the Jason Gisser Band, and the Doug Wahlberg Band rockin’ the house, consumers will have the opportunity to enjoy the guitar genius of Glenn Roth at The Spread, Jazz Brunch at Washington Prime with Bob Stewart and the New Orleans Beatniks, family entertainment at The Maritime Aquarium with Music Together Of Fairfield County, and indie/folk music from the captivating singer-songwriter Maribyrd at Killer B – just a sampling from the over 30 scheduled performances.

Adding to the music-filled week, Norwalk Now restaurants will offer “City Grub”, promotional prix fixe menus for the ultimate dinner and a show experience.  Norwalk City Limits will also hold a social media contest in search of spirited City Limits Groupies. Contests rules are simple. Budding groupies need only submit pictures of themselves taken with Norwalk City Limits musicians throughout the week. The groupie with the most pictures submitted will be entered to win a $500 gift package from Norwalk Now.

“We are all looking forward to a great week of live music and dining,” says Washington Prime Owner Rob Moss, “Creating excitement within our town and working alongside our fellow business owners is what has helped establish Norwalk, and will continue to grow Norwalk as a true destination city in New England.”

MUSIC SCHEDULE AS OF JANUARY 2, 2018
