Hal Wolin, NYC mixologist and brand ambassador for Black Bottle Blended Scotch Whisky, shook things up in the studio (literally!), whipping up some holiday cocktail recipes just in time for Thanksgiving.
I have to admit—before taking a sip of the creative cocktails below, I would not classify myself as a fan of scotch. But apparently, even the devout vodka lover can be converted. I thoroughly enjoyed the sweat oak-hint of honey flavor, that had a slightly smoky finish.

Draper Family Christmas
Ingredients:
2 oz Black Bottle Scotch Whisky
1/4 oz Cocktail and Sons Spiced Demerara Syrup
1 Dash Peychaud Bitters
1 Dash Fee Brothers Black Walnut Bitters
Directions:
Combine ingredients in mixing glass. Stir with ice, strain over giant rock. Garnish with Orange Twist.
Evening Edition Punch
Wolin says: Make ahead of time and serve in a punch bowl.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Black Bottle Scotch
1/2 oz Cornelius Applejack
1/2 oz Owl’s Brew Salted Caramel
1/2 oz Emilio Lustau “Don Nuno” Dry Oloroso Sherry
1/2 Lustau Pedro Ximenez “San Emilio” Sherry
2 Dash Bittermens Elemakule Tiki Bitters
Directions:
Combine ingredients and serve each drink in punch glass over ice. Garnish each drink with an apple slice and freshly grated cinnamon.
Black Bottle Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
2oz Black Bottle Scotch
1/4 oz Demerara Syrup
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
1 Dash Peychaud Bitters
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in mixing glass. Stir over ice. Strain over giant rock into double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with Orange Twist.
