Kate Schlientz is Westchester County’s premier culinary curator and a passionate advocate for the restaurant industry. As a dedicated storyteller, she delves deep into the passion and narratives behind every chef, restaurant, dish, and drink.


Kate boasts a distinguished career in food journalism, spanning over two decades, writing for publications such as Woman’s World Magazine, Westchester Magazine, Buffalo Spree Magazine, The Journal News, and The Syracuse NewTimes She has also lent her voice to In-Sight, a prestigious blog for Symrise, the world’s second-largest flavor company.

Through innovative channels like the “Fork This with IntoxiKate” podcast, meticulously curated events, and engaging online content, IntoxiKate connects its audience with culinary luminaries, emerging trends, and the hidden gems of the local restaurant scene. It’s a platform designed to inspire a life deliciously lived.


Kate’s influence extends beyond the regional sphere. In 2018, she was chosen as the face of Mutti, a revered Italian tomato company, for their US product launch. Her esteemed presence graces not only the Mutti website (madewithmutti.com) but also national food magazines like Bon Appétit and Food & Wine, further solidifying her position as a leading voice in the culinary landscape.


Kate’s significant contributions to the community and the restaurant industry, particularly her work with Feeding Westchester and her advocacy during and after COVID, have also been recognized by 914Inc Magazine and the Women’s Enterprise Development Center Inc.


Kate currently lives in Westchester with her family, serves as the CEO for CommuniKate Media, LLC, and, in her spare time, coaches with Fit House New York in Ardsley, NY.
