A foodie’s summer isn’t complete without the seafood bash of the season—Moderne Barn‘s Beer & Barnacles event! The 4th annual party, honoring Hillside Food Outreach, featured Captain Lawrence Brewery, Empire Brewing Company, Keegan Ales and Still the One Distillery (all complimenting small bites prepared by Chef Ethan Kostbar). The Livanos (the family behind restaurants like Moderne Barn and City Limits – White Plains) honored Hillside Food Outreach, a not for profit organization that provides food for those in need in Westchester and Putnam counties.
Chef Ethan Kostbar prepared several sushi rolls for the event: tuna cucumber, spicy California, salmon, and (not picture here) Vietnamese-style vegetable rolls.

This year’s miniature lobster rolls got a little smaller for better bites, but still packed plenty of flavor.
Lemon drops (with a sprig of fresh thyme) and logos! Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Empire Brewing Company, Keegan Ales, and Still the One Distillery offered plenty to sip on throughout the evening.
