Last night, Moderne Barn hosted their Beer and Barnacles event, a community-building evening to honor the Armonk Volunteer Fire Department. Here’s the event recap, in photos. Warning: the following images will you make you hungry!
A sprinkle of dill on the lobster rolls gave them an added punch of flavor.
There was an abundance of passed bite-sized goodies, including these shrimp cocktail shooters.

Over 200 people came out to support the Armonk Volunteer Fire Company.
More shooters! These crab and corn bisque samplers left me wanting more.
Before the event, the restaurant sold their Sommelier’s selected pints or a ‘Fireman’s Flight’ for the month of June. A portion of the proceeds was donated to the Armonk Volunteer Fire Company.

Chef Ethan Kostbar set up three stations around the restaurant. You could pick up a pulled pork slider, mahi mahi soft taco or, at the pickling station, pickles or ramps.
Moderne Barn’s upstairs space, usually reserved for events, gave party-goers a great view of the dining room below.

Plates of oysters and clams on the half shell were passed by servers who carried buckets for the shells.
The restaurant also offered games and a fun photo booth to keep party-goers entertained!
