SummerFest 2015
For the past five years, The Cross County Shopping Center offered guests an amazing experience with SummerFest—a lineup of concerts, sidewalk chalk art festivals, children’s activities, and (of course!) fireworks. Check out SummerFest’s next event tomorrow! The Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the outdoor mall.
This year, they’ve kicked it up a notch, adding a Style Lounge to the line up, offering shoppers the chance to receive a little red-carpet treatment (okay, the carpet is pink, but expect some serious VIP fun). While a live DJ spins the latest hits, you can check out the latest fashion trends with Macy’s and Sandy Hapoienu (founder of Styling Session), pick up some tricked-out nails thanks to Jamberry, and receive beauty consultations from MAC, Hair Dimensions Salon and Benefit. Oh, and those mock cocktails? Those are just the cherry on top.
I swung by the tent, located in the center of the mall, a few weeks ago to check what the Style Lounge had to offer. The photo recap is below:
First stop: receiving a metallic tattoo. I went with my spirit animal and selected a peacock feather.
I’ve used Jamberry nail art (so easy!) before, but I had no idea they had their own line of nail polishes as well!
Styling Session’s Sandy Hapoienu showcased the trends, pulling items from Macy’s right off the racks. For me, this is the summer of rompers, so I loved this nautical-themed outfit.
