While it seems like savory dishes are played up to be super-sized, it feels like our sweets are getting smaller. Case and point: the mini cupcake trend. While these mini me’s don’t taste or look any different than their traditional-sized counterpart, they do have a big upside—indulging on more than just one won’t break the bank (or your calorie budget).
While Larchmont’s Sweet and Social miniature cupcakes aren’t baked on site, they do offer a variety of flavors. Two of my favorites?
The “PB & J” is topped with raspberry preserves and peanut butter buttercream before smothered in crunchy peanuts. Sweet and Social saves a little surprise for the filling—one bite into the mini vanilla cake and you’re graced with another dollop of raspberry jelly.
Although the red velvet was in the running for a second option, you can’t overlook the “OMG – Oh my Ganache.” This Hostess cupcake impostor has a cream filling and chocolate ganache topping that’s the perfect pint-size solution to satisfy any chocolate craving.
Pricing: $18/dozen of minis or $36 /dozen for the traditional size

Heads up: You need to give owner Beth Feldman advance notice when you place your order, so plan accordingly one week ahead!
