Westchester Happy Hours

Yesterday, I talked Westchester Happy Hours with radio host Lisa Wexler on WFAS 1230 AM. Here’s the recap of what I mentioned, as well as a few IntoxiKating tips not mentioned on the radio!

Bonefish Grill

Westchester’s Ridge Hill, Yonkers

Sunday – Thursday 4 – 6:30 pm

Ambiance: Fun, Light

Deals: Enjoy cocktails and appetizers for under $6.

Try the spiked blackberry elixir made with Malibu rum, blackberries, sage, fresh lemon juice and coconut water. The drink pairs perfectly with the bang chicken (spicy!) and the fresh ceviche—a can’t miss item for summer.

Stone Manor 101

101 Saw Mill River Rd., Hawthorne, NY

Monday – Friday 4 – 6:30 p.m.

Ambiance: Lounge feel, fireplace, dimly lit, chic

Deals: Half off drinks and small plates at the bar only.

This Mediterranean steakhouse is a newbie from the same restaurant group that owns Goldfish in Ossining. They offer traditional cocktails and martinis, but go for the Salted Pretzel, made with whipped cream vodka, frangelico in a salted rim glass. Small plates include: beef carpaccio ($12.01), tenderloin kabobs ($10.01) and short rib sliders ($10.01).

42 The Restaurant / Bellota

The Restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton White Plains (1 Renassiance Square)

Tuesday – Friday 5 – 8 p.m. *In the Bar

Ambiance: Hip, corporate crowd.

Deals: $5 glasses red or white wine, $4 Beer, $3 off mixed drinks. Bar food inlcudes $1 Oysters, Fried Calamari ($7),  and Garlic-Manchego Fries ($6)

With almost a 360-degree view of Westchester, 42/Bellota is the perfect place to catch the sun setting on Westchester while you’re sipping your favorite cocktail. Don’t let the corporate crowd scare you—there’s no pretentious crowd here. In fact, the restaurant at the top of the Ritz-Carlton just won Best of Westchester’s Best Happy Hour. Go, have fun and try the Portuguese fried chicken sandwich ($6.50)!

Sunday through Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. *At the bar only

Ambiance: Great outdoor scene, Turns into a party atmosphere late on, DJs on the weekends

Deals:  $6.50 cocktails and  $3 draft beers. Two for on appetizers.

Go on Tuesdays! In addition to the other happy hour deals, you can order 75 cent pork, chicken or cheese empanadas at the bar. Fridays and Saturdays, grad a few drinks during happy, stay for dinner and then enjoy tunes from the DJs that start spinning at 9:30!

City Limits Diner

200 Central Ave., White Plains

Daily, 9 p.m. to close  *At the bar only

Ambiance: Upscale diner with gourmet food and delectable desserts

Deals: $4 glasses of wine and draft beer; $7 cocktails at the bar. Appetizers are 25% off.

Appetizers include spicy chicken wings, crispy calamari, Prince Edward Island mussels, and more. Wash all the goodies down with the “Grapefruit Finlandia” (grapefruit vodka, Aperold, St. Germain, fresh lemon).

Ambiance: Think your traditional Irish Pub

Deals: 2 for 1 specials on drinks. Daily specials on appetizers.
