March 17th is this Friday, and if you’re anything like me, you can’t way to dig in to some corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes paired with some delicious craft brew. I’ve rounded up some of the best places and resources for you to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Westchester NY…

PARADES

March 17th: The New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebrates over 250 years of history and runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Michael J. Dowling, President & CEO of Northwell Health, serves as this year’s Grand Marshal.

March 18th: The Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade (in my opinion, the BEST in Westchester!) kicks off at the corner of Hyatt and McLean Avenues at 1 p.m. His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan will lead the parade.

{IntoxiKate Tip!} Heading to the Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade? Don’t chance your luck with parking. Head to Empire City Casino, where you can park for free and hop on a shuttle to the parade. Simply use the Yonkers Avenue Entrance of the casino. Shuttles will start running at 9:30 a.m. and drop off and pick up spectators on the corner of Hillview & Kimball Avenues, one block up from McLean Avenue until 5 p.m.

March 19th: Both the Pearl River and Soundshore St. Patrick’s Day Parades kick off at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

BITES & BEERS

Yonkers

• Yonkers Brewing Co. created a special craft brew in honor of Cardinal Dolan. (To hear details, check out Brewmaster Dave Hartmann on Fork This with IntoxiKate Tuesday at 6 p.m.). The Cream Ale should be paired with their Mega Classic Corned Beef Sandwich, slathered in the housemade stone ground mustard. Also on tap? An Irish Red, Vanilla Stout, and the “Good Stuph” Stout. Go: 92 Main St., Yonkers, yonkersbrewing.com

• Dan Rooney’s at Empire City Casino is offering their banging Corned Beef and Cabbage Platter (pictured above), as well as specials on Jameson shots. Go: 810 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, empirecitycasino.com

Rory Dolan’s is hosting live music by the Narrowbacks, plus serving food all day inside and out. I can’t help you choose between their 50 draught beers, but I will tell you their Traditional Irish Lamb Stew is pretty amazing. If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, try the Dublin-Style Fish and ChipsGo: 890 McLean Ave., Yonkers, rorydolans.com

Burke’s Bar & Restaurant has this incredible Bangers and Mash Platter, but I also enjoy the Irish Chicken Curry. Go: 645 Bronx River Rd., Yonkers, burkesbar.com

White Plains

• Emma’s Ale House is always a good time, and their Deconstructed Chicken Pot Pie and Guinness Braised Beef Stew are both delicious options to indulge in a little Irish cuisine. Go: 68 Gedney Way, White Plains, emmasalehouse.com

Mamaroneck

• The parade is Sunday, but start partying Friday night with Molly Spillane’s. DJ Finelli starts spinning tunes at 10 p.m. so dance, drink, and be Irish! If you need a little eat to throw in there, check out the Jameson Glazed Bacon or the Spillane’s Special Burger, topped with a fried egg, corned beef, Irish cheddar, and beer mustard. #yesplease Go: 211 Mamaroneck Ave., Mamaroneck, mollyspillanes.com

The Bronx

Rambling House unleashes the fun at 5 p.m. with my FAVORITE local Irish band, Shilelagh Law. No cover required, but I’d get their early check out the Full Irish Breakfast and the Guinness Burger while you wait for the tunes to start. Go: 4292 Katonah Ave., Bronx, ramblinghousenyc.com

Hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Party

• Drink local! Both Yonkers Brewing Co. and Broken Bow Brewery have an Irish Red to die for. Get a growler to go or order a keg (like, NOW!).

Siegel Bros. Marketplace has an amazing lineup of prepped and pre-packaged food. But if you’re hosting a St. Patrick’s Day bash, you may want to pick up their Sheppard’s Pie or Chicken Pot Pie. P.S. Head next door to their Wine & Spirits Shop to pick up your favorite whiskey! Go: 39 S. Moger St., Mount Kisco, www.siegelbrosmarketplace.com

• Hosting something a bit bigger? Ben’s Delicatessen is overing a Corned Beef and Cabbage Special that feeds ten guests for $189.99. The package—available until March 17th—includes 4 lbs of corned beef, boiled cabbage, potatoes, carrots, coleslaw, relish and rye bread. Go: 718 Central Park Ave., Scarsdale, bensdeli.net

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
