HVRW at Dubrovnik in New Rochelle

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (#HVRW) is the perfect opportunity to try new restaurants in and around Westchester. The event runs through this weekend, so make sure to make those reservations to take advantage of the deal—$32.95 for a three-course dinner and $22.95 for a three-course lunch.* At the beginning of two-week-long event, I offered my tips on where to go this year, and mentioned I was checking out a restaurant that's been on MY list for quite some time. The interior is small but very cozy. Upon collecting my valet ticket (thank goodness for that in this area of New Rochelle), [...]

IntoxiKate’s Picks for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week 2016

It’s one of my favorite times of the year—Hudson Valley Restaurant Week—and it runs Nov. 1 to the 13th. It you haven’t taken advantage of the incredible (cost-effective) opportunity to check out some of the best restaurants in the Hudson Valley, now is your chance. The Valley Table pulled together a great assortment of eateries and, as your professional restaurant recommender, I have some suggestions on where to go (and what to order!). […]

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week: Cedar Street Grill

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (#HVRW) is a great opportunity to not only visit new eateries, but also some favorites. I love the energy at Cedar Street Grill. The entire staff—from Chef Matt Kay and his 'spirited' brother (and co-owner) Joe to Jimmy, the server who helped us make our selections for the evening—is always professional and friendly, but also very personable and fun. A bunch of my girlfriends and I went on a Wednesday—trust me, with these Men(u) Crave, they needed no convincing—to also partake in the $1 oyster special running every week. Now I mentioned that Joe Kay was [...]

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week: 105-Ten Bar & Grill

Just before the start of restaurant week, Executive Chef Eddis Martinez swung by the WFAS studio to chat all things Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (#HVRW). While he was listening to my monologue in the first few minutes of the show, he created his restaurant week menu. Once he revealed that in the interview, I couldn't help but visit his restaurant, 105-Ten Bar & Grill, to see what he came up with (and to see if anything I mentioned helped inspire him!). My first time at 105-Ten, I headed there for lunch and was pleased to see that the Briarcliff Manor [...]

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week: Harper’s Bar and Restaurant

Husdon Valley Restaurant Week runs March 9th to March 22nd, and I've encourage myself (and you!) to try some new restaurants and old favorites with an "IntoxiKate challenge." I'm visiting seven restaurants during the "week" (really two!) the special is running. It's been a while since I visited Harper's Bar and Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry, so I put it on my list. And I was really glad I did! Chef Chris Vergara was generous with the options and the portions on the #HVRW menu. It was the type of meal that left me wanting more—I waited as patiently as possible [...]
